EchoPad records calls and meetings on your Mac and turns them into transcripts with speakers, saved where you keep your notes.
EchoPad is a free, open source meeting recorder for macOS. It records your microphone and the other side of the call as two separate tracks, transcribes them with NVIDIA Parakeet TDT v3 on your Mac, tells the speakers apart, and writes the transcript into a folder you choose.
EchoPad lives in the menu bar. Start a recording from there, with ⇧⌘E, or from the notification that appears when a call starts. A small glass pill shows the timer while you talk.
